Mobo blew up mid use on Friday.  Thought it was a bad DIMM or dimm slot, as I was getting a post code that related to memory but after some swapping of ram I no longer get the code and now only get power to the front two-thirds of my mobo.  So. Time to test individual parts and rebuild.

PC just powered down mid use.  Thought i lost power until I realized my lights were still on.  Its a ASUS P6T Deluxe V2 Mobo - and the post code was 1 long + 3 short.  Everything I could find stated the code was for memory above 64k.  I had 3 triple channel 2 gig memory sticks, and I found a combo that would remove the bad post code.  So now, no post beeps, but no video output, or power from anything plugged into the back panel.  USB mouse and keyboard work when I plug them into the top USB ports, but from the back I get a brief flash of power to the device then nothing.  So I'm assuming its not providing enough power to keep the devices up.  All of my fans run, all of the expansion slots provide enough power to turn fans, the CPU fan turns but the cooler does not get warm.  I saw once that while trying to find something that was not powered up, the entire rig had a power flux sorta like when your about to lose power in your house but don't.  Gonna start by taking everything out and blasting the crap out of it with dust off.
